New LES Guidance: Supplementary Planning Documents for Low Emission Strategies

In January 2010, Defra and the Low Emission Strategies Partnership published good practice guidance: Using the Planning System to Reduce Transport Emissions. The LES Partnership has now produced additional guidance on Supplementary Planning Documents. This provides an update on low emission assessment methodologies, mitigation measures and approaches to off-set formulae and tariffs. It can be tailored to the specific circumstances of each local authority, whilst providing a framework for the Low Emission Strategies approach.
