The second meeting of the Low Emission Forum will be held in Sheffield on Thursday 1st July 2010. The morning session will provide an update on the work of the LES Partnership, including project updates and a local news roundup. The afternoon session will be a themed seminar on ‘Low Emission Strategies and LTP3’. The Department for Transport will give a national overview, followed by speakers from Merseytravel and the Sheffield City Council who will provide case studies on local implementation. This will be followed by a panel-led discussion. There will then be an opportunity to make a brief visit, by gas-powered minibus, to the gas refuelling station at Sheffield Council's transport depot.
The Low Emission Forum is aimed at the ‘low emissions community’ particularly those from local authorities working in emissions management, environmental strategy, spatial/transport planning, procurement and fleet operations. We also very much welcome stakeholders who interact with these functions from public, private and third sector bodies, as well as from regional and national government.
